[pct-l] canisters in the Southern Sierra

Dave Fales needs to be ignored. He loves trolling with new members to start
flame wars almost as much as he enjoys ultra-exaggerations of his own
"accomplishments". He's blocked from my list of people from whom I do not
accept messages. Therefore if he responds to this email, I'll never get it.
Halleluiah! Did I say he should be ignored?

thus most do not take proper precautions to secure their food. It would be
impossible, as you suggest, to "test" everyone who goes into the
backcountry to see if they know what they are doing. Thus, we have bear
canister regulations in certain areas to ensure that more people will be
able to have the kind of encounter that Christine had.
