FWIW

I read a report some time back that Yellowstone NP was considering or 
even had erected bear-proof fenced in areas or cages for backcountry 
visitors to camp in when in grizzly country. However I just looked at 
the Yellowstone web page blurb on backcountry camping and saw no mention 
of such facilities.

So who knows?  Will backpackers eventually have to fence themselves in 
in bad bear country?  Hope this doesn't happen.
