[pct-l] Digest Mode Gone Haywire

Apparently, if one adjusts the list settings so as to receive mime-type
digests, then the contents of the digests appear as individual attachments,
which are keyed to the standard numerical list of posts that appear at the
top of the digest. Replying to any one of these attachments would avoid the
"full-digest-barf-back" syndrome.

I also seem to recall that in former days the listserv had an automatic
message truncation feature, (which kicked in after a message size threshold
was reached) designed to thwart the above syndrome as well. To my way of
thinking this was ideal, since it worked. Whereas a bounce back approach
would deny the readership of the entire message, both fresh and regurgitated
portions alike.
