Everyone has different requirements for thru-hike cameras but
before you go with a disposable do some side by side
comparisons with printed photos from a disposable, a
mid-range point-and-shoot, and a digital camera.

IMHO by going with a disposable you are trading off quite
a bit in picture quality.  Make sure you are comfortable
with that tradeoff before you start hiking.
