[pct-l] Renting a bear-container

Thanks all for the reply's. I'msure now that I can rent one somewhere.
If I need one for 5 weeks it will be cheaper then buying one, and I don't need one in Europe (although it is a nice gift to take home)

Can I return it to another location? I don't want to go back to the original pickup location.
(I can always mail them back ofcourse..)

thanx
Stan

Stan,

I know that the ranger station at Mammoth Lakes rents bear canisters, since I rented one there last year. They had a large supply and charged $5/person/week. My guess is that the other ranger stations along the eastern Sierras also rent them. For more info on the Mammoth and other ranger stations, go to

Have a great trip!
