Sorry Rich!! I promise to pack 6 snakebite kits next time. IDidn't know you
were that sensitive.
I didn't say you avocationed kicking snakes off the trail. And yes a cell
phone is very handy in an emergency. ( Though I hate these in day to day life
and think of them as a big hook each time they ring)
I still think a snake bite kit is just a mental bandaid useful to ease
your mind in snake country but rarely helpful. In fact the razor blade( OK
,Surgeon's blade) has caused more problems than done any good in past years by
unskilled folks badly slicing themselves in a paniced state shortly after being
bitten.
By all meaning though , pack one or two if it makes you feel better . I
have packed them myself and do find the " Surgon's Blade" useful in lancing
blisters.( I don't really think the pint of Jim Beam is useful either , that was
just a tongue in cheek joke , Sorry)
