[pct-l] PCT maps
John,
We found that the DeLorme map book series were wonderful for a large
overview of the PCT. The trail is marked on these maps ('though not at true
navigation scale). The DeLorme maps are typically available at large chain
bookstores, REI, etc. They are superb for identifying road crossings,
nearest towns, etc., and are available for all 3 PCT states.

| For the JMT I was pleased with the Thomson maps but I am not happy with
| the maps in the Schaffer-Winnet Vol.#1. This summer I will do sections
| I J & K solo. Besides the CD roms (on back order), is there another
| alternative? Also, I`d like a large overview map of this section. Would
| appreciate your assistance. New to this list.
