Perhaps there's more to this story, though, before I criticize....

  Two hikers who were stranded in the snowy

  Tuesday were rescued by the Kern County

  Richard and Sarah Seaman, aged 61 and 33,
were lifted out of an
  area south of Jawbone Canyon by helicopter,
according to Kern
  County Search and Rescue. They were
uninjured.

  The husband and wife called for help on
their cellular phone around 7
  a.m. after getting stuck in about six
inches of snow, according to

  The Seamans were on a two-week hiking trip
to Kennedy Meadows,
  according to reports
