[pct-l] Sierra Snow Effect of Recent Storm

--
[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]
The southern most three river basins in the Sierras received little more than
a few inches of snow from this last storm. Snow survey records show only an
inch or so in the Kern River area sites, only a couple inches in the Kings
and San Joaquin River area sites and about 3 inches at elevation in the
Merced - Toulumne River sites. At the higher elevation of the PCT passes in
these areas, as much as twice or three times this much most likely
accumulated.

The bottom line; this storm was too warm to accumulate much snow in the
southern half of the High Sierra.

Another storm system working its way toward us this week. We'll see.

YMMV, IMHO,
