[pct-l] hammocks

Hmmn. Trees? In the first 500 miles of the PCT? (looks wildly around in
the chaparral)
Sorry, Mike - you'll be in and out of trees as you gain and lose elevation,
and much of the first 500 miles is going to be in chaparral (sometimes
called the "pygmy forest."), which won't support a hammock.

Go with the tarp/tent.

Are there enough trees to hang a Hennessey hammock in the first 500 miles of
the PCT or is a tarp/tent a better option? Other than the coldness of a
hammock. Thanks, Mike
