The Owens Valley has a bus system that runs from Bishop to Long Pine twice a
day, with stops in the logical points along the way.

Leaves Bishop at 12:00pm and 5:30pm
Leaves Lone Pine at 6:10am and 12:10pm

A few years back Gray Line Tours offered daily(?) tour bus service from
Fresno.
The KOA campground near the Visalia airport used to offer tour bus service,
which I used once to get up to the start of the High Sierra Trail
