[pct-l] Another route to Lone Pine

By far the easiest  and safest side trail to get to Lone Pine is Trail
Pass to Horseshoe Meadow.  Just over two miles, very little elevation
loss, to a paved parking area.  As someone suggested, rides are easier
to get on the weekend.  Camping is allowed at the parking area for about
4 or 5 bucks per tent pad.  For the trail purist, it is also an easy
trail to use  to get back on the trail and not miss any miles, with
minimal distance on a side trail.  Facilities consist of permanent porta
potties.
We have used Trail Pass as an entry point several times because it
hasn't been under the quota system.  That might change this year.
