 What also makes Brians record stand out on his trip up the PCT is that he
did his  much earlier in the year than Stefan's trip and was route finding
and breaking trail through the Sierra's. Others behind him just followed his
tracks. One month later makes a big dif as far as snow in the Sierras. (
Easier to make good time on a dry trail verses one where you are walking on
snow)
