 If your pot got black from using Heet, you were using the " ISO-Heet" which
comes in a red instead of yellow bottle. Most well designed stoves out there
can boil 2 cups in under 5 minutes. I made a large version of one of Roy's
cat stoves that will boil a liter in 5 and a half minutes.( But it is a fuel
hog burning 6 tablespoons in 14 minutes. Stay away from any alcohol that
starts in OSO.
