The problem is that there are plenty of fine examples of postmasters along
the trail who more than bend the rules to help PCT hikers, including after
hours delivery, staying open late and opening on Sunday
While she certainly isn't required to go out of her way to help people,
there is no rule that says she has to be a by the booker either. Me, I prefer
liberal folks who don't see black and white. She hung up on me when I
inquired on taxi service to S. Lake Tahoe, and pretended it didn't exist when
I asked in person. I just thanked my lucky stars I didn't have to work for
her. The only bad experience on the whole PCT.
Sorry lady, just reporting what occurred.
