[pct-l] lyme

Wow, do I feel sorry for you!!! I also suffered with Lyme disease from my
2000AT thru-hike. I'm happy to say after numerous doctors, several courses
of inadequate treatment and the better part of a year of suffering, I'm
finally over it. I hope you had an easier time of it. I don't believe that
it is nearly so prevalent on the PCT. I took no extra precautions and had
no problems. I did not hear of other 2002 thruhikers hikers having any
problems either. I wish the best to you. Be sure to make the acquaintance
of Dick Hitz (Tin Cup AT 2000) and Floater AT 2000 who will also be out
there thru-hiking this year. BTW, I'll be signing off shortly as I'll be
walking the "El Camino" de Santiago in Spain in April and May. Best of luck
to all 2003 hikers this year.
