Has anyone hiked the PCT using Jardine's method of just using a filter elem=
ent?  I recently tried a gravity system using the PUR Hiker and found the o=
utput to be amazing!  I can't see why one would take along the pump body, a=
s the flow was faster without the pump.  I'm wondering if there is any disa=
dvantage to this system.  It comes out to a little bit cheaper than most ch=
emicals, and one doesn't have to wait for the 30 minutes for their water.
