I believe you can go to Seattle by bus without going through Vancouver. I remember getting on the bus, then buying a ticket while transfering in Chilliwack. We entered the US near Abbotsford and arrived in Seattle late in the afternoon. A bus can be taken from downtown Seattle near the Greyhound bus station to Sea-Tac airport (20 miles) for $1.25. 7 days a week
