[pct-l] Esbit Stoves

Hi David,
I am a Esbit stove user also, we used them for 200 miles on one hike, for
two persons.
For me they are easy to light and blow out, I do not need to be mechanical
to fix anything,.
If I loose the stove, I can use the tablets with a few small rocks to hold
up my pot.
I think they are dead easy. You might try
http://www.southsummit.com/index.htm for a cheaper
Price on the Esbit fuel, also you can purchase a Boy Scout model of the
Esbit Stove which also weights about 1/2 the amount of a regular Esbit
stove. Incidentally I still have a GAZ stove and only take it when there are
four of us. I would like to investigate the new Snow Peak little stoves
that work on a canister 1/2 the size of the GAZ. Another time though.
Cheers,

Marge [The Old Gal]
