[pct-l] gear question - SPADE



I have used the orange plastic one for years.  Half the digging part broke
off ten years ago or so, and I have not missed it.  It's those above
timberline holes that require breaking through two inches of woven organic
material and little rocks mixed in that have always made my preparation to
dump a sometimes humorous/frantic effort.  Kneeling and stabbing the earth -
I want to cry out in exultation and frustration at the same time!
