[pct-l] tarp on JMT and mosquitoes

The Sierras in August should be bug free - and the water levels lower than
at other times (unless there is a big rain). Was great when I was there once
mid August to mid September.

Don't underestimate those mosquitoes and what they do to your mind. They
aren't the things that make the adrenalin going (like rushing streams, icy
patches of snow, lost trails, etc.), nor things that make you feel "I'm
alive!", but they could cause you more grief than anything else you will
encounter. So, use what you want, but be prepared. If you are lucky, you
will only have a few days of them. If not, well ....
