My chosen methods of keeping off the mosquitoes:
Wear voluminous silk long sleeve shirts and baggy nylon pants.
Wear a cotton hat with a bug head net over it which comes down to my
upper chest when worn.
Put a deet based product on the backs of my hands.  I use a pump spray
which I can also spray on my hat brim and back of neck when I don't want
to wear the headnet.
Sleep in a tent at night.
