[pct-l] Burning Deserts

the sonoran desert stretches from arizona down into mainland mexico,
while the colorado desert stretches from southern california down through
baja california, with the dividing line roughly along a line north from the
tip of the sea of cortez. Both desert communites share similar types of
plants (varieties
of spanish dagger, prickley pear, ocotillo, barrel cactus etc.) while the
sonoran
desert has the large saguaro cactus, as seen in wile E. coyote cartoons.
The colorado
desert does have a similar large cactus, the cardon, but it is not found
until you're
about 100 miles south into the baja. Joshua trees (a bush named by mormons)
are unique to the
mohave desert, which is north of both the colorado and sonoran deserts.
