[pct-l] Fishing the Southern Sierras [long]

I have to disagree with Tom's report of "small brookies" coming out of
thousand island lake. We were camped there, and besides catching a full
stringer of trout up to 14", I witness one guy who I thought was sporting
overkill in the way of salmon size tackle until I saw him waltzing back to
the trees
with 2, and I am NOT exagerating, HUGE 24" trout. Monsters I tell y'all.
In addition to Tom's list, I found just about the best fishing in the area
from
Tuolomne south to Bishop to be at the Marie Lakes, avg. size 10-12" and FAT.
I did very well from the north shore right by the trail.
