Let's back up a step - I'm in bear canister land, run into a ranger, we
'chat'. He asks if I have said canister. I say yes, it's inside my pack.
Can he see it? Sorry, it's buried and I have miles to go before I rest.
Nice talking with you, toodle-loo, see you on the flip side. I start
walking...
Seems like he wouldn't have much recourse. No probable cause, not even
any law enforcement powers. What's wrong with my scenario?
