This question takes me back to a sunset about a week
or two into my trek.  My tent was up, my sleeping bag
spread onto my thermarest, dinner eaten and put away,
etc.  There was an hour before sunset, and I realized
that I had absolutely nothing to do.  It was profound.

Freedom.  From everything.  That's why I thru hike.
