Does he then eat it as is....?? slices of bread thinner than deli sliced pa=
stromi ?? Or does he have a trick to restore it's volume ?? If not, then to=
rtillas are the better choice..they are already.pre-sat on if if you will..
As far as the rest of the meals...i prefer a trip to an Asian grocery store=
over REI.. I was supping on hot and sour Thai shrimp (chicken works also) =
soup and rice while my trail partners were choking down yet another package=
d pasta dish...... The only worry is that the soup base is very aromatic...=
I had comments from people camped over 200 feet next door about the aroma..=
.but the bears didn't seem to be interested in it..had no problems thru any=
of the dreaded Inyo forest regions. I plan on putting a bunch of the soup =
packets in my resupply boxes...so if you smell that telltale smell...drop =
bye and say hello

Last year, I ran across a Northbound PCT hiker that was carrying an ent=

loaf of white bread with him...He says it lasts a week or so before
molding.....It looked to be in great shape...didn't think to ask how he
packed it...
One guy I know says he ass packs his white bread. That is, he stands it =
upright on a hard surface and sits on it. Compresses down to a few inches.
