[pct-l] hiking/camping near Las Vegas

I'm planning a weekend trip to Vegas but I'm looking into doing some
hiking and/or camping a couple days before and after the weekend.  I
was thinking of going up to Zion National Park in Utah and of course
there is the Grand Canyon.  Can anyone suggest any nice day hikes or
overnight hikes within 2-3 hours driving distance of
Vegas?  I'll have a rental car, so easy car access is important. What
weather can I expect in mid/late February?  I'm not looking for
challenging winter conditions.  If the weather is bad I'll just stay in
town.
