     While Esbit tabs have been used with success on PCT thu-hikes, they are
the Butt of much jokes. We would tell Trailmix in 2000 that , yes his Esbit
Tabs were lighter , but you needed 2 lbs. of Fusees to get them to light!!
    Seeing an unwashed thru-hiker with a half burnt piece of Esbit tab in the
morning is alot like seeing a Crack Addict in Oakland trying to get his "
Rock Cocain" to lite!! ( Half Burnt Esbit Tabs look like most street drugs in
todays inner city)
    A thru-hiker trying to light an Esbit tab is like watching an 8 year old

 kid waiting for his/her Sparkler to light on the 4th of July off their
Uncles Ccigarette.
    PLUS SIDE:::: Esbits look and taste like Chicklets
                     ::::: Esbits can be sold for a street value of 50.00 an
oz. in Big Cities in their half burnt state!!
                   No one will want to steal your pots or pans !!
