[pct-l] Drift box/Bounce box

I have to agree with Paul: I could have bought all the stuff in my drift box
in the every expensive trail town with what I spent on postage for my drift
box. I did have a giant drift box though.
Next time: small drift box with battery charger, a few clothes, and other
difficult-to-get stuff. No toiletries, laundry soap, pens, paper, extra
vitamin I, etc. If you save the cost of shipping the bounce box, you'll
smile when paying $2.79 for a tiny bottle of shampoo.

I sent my bounce box parcel post to slow it down. It went to Big Bear City
(from Campo or Tucson), Agua Dulce, Tuolumne Meadows, Echo Lake (only
because I was getting off the trail for 4 days), Belden, Dunsmuir, Ashland,
Central Oregon (time off), Cascade Locks, and Snoqualmie.
As I said above, it didn't think it was worth it, but I had support at home
(thanks Dad!) to put in clothes/gear that I might need. If you space out
your destinations much further than I did, you run the risk of having it sit
there too long and being returned. One strategy you might try is using
Priority Mail and just forwarding the item for free. Just know which places
you can forward from and which you can't. For example, Olallie Lake is one
of the places you can't forward from.
