Yes, Strider, it was Llightingbolt and I who created
that cup after he gave up plans to take his styrofoam
cup (due to potential bacteria buildup)on his thru
hike.
Tests proved that if boiling water was used in the
inital Shrink, the cup would not shrink again.
To prevent the rim from shriveling, duct tape was
wound around the estimated rim. Cut your plastic soda
bottle about 2 inches taller than desired. Wind with
duct tape. Then, after the shrink, trim to desired
height.
Lightingbolt wanted it to nest perfectly, hense the
estimated and finished height difference.
