[pct-l] Duck Tape and find of old books

--
[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]
Just listening to these outdoor guys on the radio and their uses of duct
tape. They claim that " Duck Tape " brand is their favorite. Comes in almost
every color ( Even Camo and Blaze Orange) Even has a Professional grade tape
with higher tread count and stickier. Just go to Duck Brand Products web
page.
I also found two great books today on a raid to Orca Books store today.
One is titled " Self-Propelled in the Southern Sierra" written by J.C.
Jenkins. Great book with a copy right of 1978 with good maps and trail info
on and near PCT and pictures of " 70's" hikers exploring Sierras with old
gear!!!
Second book is " Of Men and Mountains" by Willian O. Douglas copyright
1950. ( Yes, the Supreme Court Judge of years gone by) Great book of stories
and trips in and around the Wilderness named for him. ( Near Goat Rocks)
Talks of how to fry trout properly in Bear Oil!! Also how a steak cooked over
a campfire with blackened char outside edges a moist juicy inside brings all
the smells of the outdoors together with it's woodsmoke flavor. ( Good winter
read!!)
