[pct-l] Poison oak and other nasties

Most of the Poison Oak I encountered on the trail
last year was in N. California.

Section O was the worst, because in many places it
was growing directly over the trail as well as
off the trail. This required you to become a
contortionist. From what I understand, this section
has been a problem for years. On the bright side,
no Poison Oak was encountered in the clear cuts
in section O.

At lower elevations of P,Q it was also abundant,
but excellent trail maintenance kept it off the
the trail. When you stray off trail watch where
you squat.

S. California had very little Poison Oak at any
elevation. It was more of a novelty, "Oh look,
posion oak!"

And guys when taking a leak it's extremely
gratifying showering a poison oak plant.

Anyone who Mt. Bikes in Posion Oak areas will
have become very adept at spotting this plant
QUICKLY. You'll find that you'll excel in spotting
it before those who don't ride.
