Dial A. Ride is a shuttle service. Located in some towns for the local
citizens. They have one at Big Bear also. I got picked up at the Portals to
Lone Pine.  I had a similar service at several others town.

I jumped of trail at Big Bear to pick up my food drop but had to walk to
town.  In town I got picked up at a local Super Market and for a small fee
($1.00) taken to Trail Head. Not Bad
