[pct-l] Making the PCT more known - was famous hiking trails

Noticed that nobody suggested the PCT as the worlds
most famous trail. Since this is the PCT list maybe it
would be better to discuss how to make the PCT better
known.

Of course better known would also mean more people,
and that's not necessarily an improvement, but it
would also mean it would be easier to get money and
people for maintenance and support for protection.

Maybe someone could organize the ultimate extreme
competition - a thru-run. I'm sure some TV channel
would be interested.
