[pct-l] Bounce Boxes

I just need to know: why do people use bounce boxes? I know lots of people
who used bounce boxes, but I have yet to have any need for them. What was
included in the bounce box I had in my resupply boxes. And I always wondered
if such a box would get to the next resupply before I did. Although, the
distance between places listed definitely would work, there are resupply
point in between. Of course, I had someone mailing me packages.

The resupply listed in Oregon/Washington are right on. You don't want to
really depend on buying resupplies in those states except at the places
mentioned.

As for the "straight through" the Sierras, after going into Independence, I
really recommend going over Kearsage Pass - it boasts one of the most
outstanding views of the trek.
