[pct-l] Hiking and Running

I have done several tri's (Santa Cruz, CA being my fav)
and running-biking-swiming training..then hiking-- as strange
as it seems --require different muscle memory.. Isn't it
is in the "fast-twitch" and "slow-twitch" training the muscle
group receives maybe- I seem to rememeber something from
my coaches (long ago!! too long)!! ...But 6MPH isnt too bad
is it?? That's 10 minute mile? ooops...I'm thinking of
10 MPH which is a 6 minute mile...almost the minimum
needed for basketball spurts..and then racing is
around 5:30 to compete successfully?
