As you probably know, the new edition of the Wilderness Press PCT Vol I
(California) will be published in two separate smaller volumes this time
- dividing into Southern California and Northern California.  In
querying Wilderness Press just a few days ago about when the Southern CA
volume would be out (PCTA had originally told me Dec '02), I was told by
the publisher that it would be ready in Jan '03.  That's good news to
me! The other half (Northern CA) had been projected for March '03, I
believe, but I did not ask them whether that publication was on schedule
or not.  Typically all publishers fall a bit behind their original
publication projections.
