 Yosemite does have boxes in some areas, but they need to have them in all
areas. They have a ton of bad bears where Glacier has few. Glacier has
Grizzlies bears and many blacks and few problems, no canisters needed and
bears and people seem to give each other space.  Yosemite's bears have been
trained by weekend space-cadits with little knowledge or caring about bear's
like of human food. Yosemite could learn alot from their sister park Glacier.
Many Glacier  Campground even had " Backpacker" camp sites reserved for
hikers in their car campground complete with bear boxes. Yosemite on the
other hand wrote the book on what " Not" to do right in regard to handling
bear problems!!!
