With the demise of the doomed bear can requirement, a new strategy will be
initiated that will require all backcountry users to carry a wrist rocket
(much lighter than a bear canister and useful on those mini bears also) and
appropriate ammo sufficient to pain a mature bear (perhaps of the Monte
size).  All users shall be required to shoot any bears that they happen upon,
under penalty of a mega fine.

Soon thereafter this strategy will also fail when environmentalists first
notice and then sound the alarm at the steep decline in small rodent species
as ultra-light thru-hikers hit upon the idea that they need not carry any
food if they can kill rodents and catch fish as they go.  Watch out for the
official announcement of a demonstration of this cutting edge food strategy
at the next ADZPCTKO!
