This class of tent is designed for the "sprint between town stops" aproach.

You hike till you drop, eat freeze dried cardboard cooked over a bottle cap

filled with fuel, then sleep where you are....waking up to start the entire

process all over again....until you arrive at some podunk little town or

rundown resort...where you pig out on food that tasts great only compared to

freeze dried cardboard, load up with food and start the process all over

again.

So I guess that answers the question: the glass IS half empty.
But hey, trail life ain't too bad considering the alternative of living in a
big city where "16 Tons" is the tune they wake up to and whistle why they
work and scurry along clogged roadways. I'll even take Belden any day over
L.A. And the lots are cheaper, too. Just gotta make sure your view doesn't
include (or COULD include) a double wide with a junk yard dog to go with the
junk cars and target practice "area" in the back. (No offense to Harbor Homes
owners. I'm certain the quality is impeccable and that you do indeed get
"More Home for your Money." And I believe they have a "not reponsible for
usage by owner" clause in the contract
And even if you look on the not so bright side, you can sigh with relief
that you are only a visitor and can forever more appreciate the lifestyle
from whence you came instead of humming "16 Tons" and other Communist tunes
