[pct-l] (Guest Post) Gear vs gear vs gear

I was hiking in the White Mountains in New Hampshire a few days after the hiker died. He had fallen and had a visible head injury. He apparently wandered around for another
day or so.

The Madison Hut Crew found him or was alerted that a hiker was down. He was alive when they found him, but very hypothermic. He went into cardiac arrest either on the way back
to Madison Hut or in the hut. I heard this same account in most of the huts in the Southern Presidential's so I think it is pretty accurate.

I just signed back onto the list so "hi" to everyone. After my first AT hike, I really appreciate living so close to the PCT. I had a great experience in the White's...but it
was not the PCT.
