 Everything in live is a compromise. Tarps are alittle lighter and can be set
up pretty storm proof. The extra weight of a light tent can be off-set a tad
because it allows you to carry a lighter bag. ( Tents can hold a a dead air
space better than tarps and are warmer, esp. with two people tents) Tents zip
out bugs. Some tents weight under 2 lbs. these days. Tarps are cheaper, have
less condensation, lighter. You make the call!!!!!
