yah, Brawney that is what I got too.  That The patent thing is just about
trying to use an idea that has been used for years, and get exclusive use.

a tarp/tent with a side of either mesh or fabric, and a fixed floor  can
also have variable pitch.  The sides would just have a different angle
depending on the pitch of the "roof".  You could also put various corner
loops on for different settings.  Often the side and bottom fabric is the
same and some "bathtubbing" is generally desirable  anyway (with the bottom
fabric running up the sides.)

Tents are also variable pitch, unless you put the stakes in exactly the
same places every time. There is just less variation in the pitch, but
variation nevertheless.
