 Ice Axe not needed in early snows don't hit. Just talked to a Northbounder
last week last claimed not needed even now. Sept. is usually Indain Summer
here in Washington with sunny days and cool nights. No bugs and lots of
berries to eat. Hear Elk Bugle !!! My favorite time to hike. Check out the
Wonderland trail after labor day or the Olympics. ( Or Hike PCT south and
wave at thru-hikers finishing up)
