[pct-l] transportation back home

i'm planning on hiking from agua dulce to I-80 and i
was wondering if there was a way i could return back
home via plane, train or bus once i reach I-80.  i was
thinking of walking old highway 40 to truckee then
taking the amtrak back home.  is there an easier way
to get back home, perhaps via another town near that
section of the pct?  thanks.  craig.
