[pct-l] Llamas? (was: Are dogs alowed on the trail?)

A friend of mine is doing a project where he is section hiking the PCT with
various packstock. He has so far used horse, llamas, goats, and a camel. He
is doing donkeys this year and mules next, I think.
So far, he says the goats are most personable but the camel was the best
walker and could carry 200 pounds.
He will be writing a book about this when he's done.

No packstock of any kind can hike the whole trail as there are restrictions
on packstock in many places. They are best used for section hiking.
