FYI:  Walmart sells Earth Shoes brand sandals (Clifford style) that are very 
comfortable when hiking.  A pair weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces with SuperFeet 
inserts Velcro onto the footpads.  I always use SuperFeet in any hiking shoe 
and never have had a foot problem in 35 years of backpacking.  The sandals 
costs $20.00, but your SuperFeet will set you back $30.00 at REI.  The sandal 
bottoms are made of a softer type compound and you might have to put Super 
Goo on the bottoms in places where you wear a lot.  Even if they wear out in 
400 miles, you just get another pair for $20.  Happy trails, Switchback
