[pct-l] Re: NEW Pepsi-G and Mini Stoves!

I want to publicly thank Stephen "Troubadour" Martin for all his fine
work in bring my stove instructions to his web site, the old ones and
the new instructions. He devoted a lot of time to this project on
photo editing, text editing, web design, etc and deserves a hearty
round of applause.

I would like make a minor adjustment to his announcement. The
instructions are new but the stoves are not. They are only
improvements to my original Pepsi Stove. I bring up this distinction
because I don't want you to be disappointed that the design is not
new, and because I don't want to be accused of copying anyone. I
announced the updated design in December 2000 to BackpackingLight
(Message 31580). It failed to generate much interest, perhaps because
of the way I wrote the message, so the plans weren't made public on
Troubadour's web site. However, the updated instructions (text only)
have been sent out to interested individuals (*) since that time so
the updated stoves are already out there.

I hope you will have fun making the stove(s) and that they will bring
you years of good service.

-Scott Henderson

(*) Glen Van Peski was one of the few people to recognize the utility
of my smaller stove. Visit the new instructions and view a picture of
how Glen uses Scott's Mini Stove with a Snow Peak mug.
