[pct-l] Agua Dulce Resupply

Dear Jim,

Packages can be received and sent by regular mail, UPS, or express =
services.  Send packages to: (your name) c/o The Saufley's, 11861 =
Darling Road, Agua Dulce 91350.  Our hiker heaven is open 24/7, no =
reservations or pre-arrangements necessary. We both hold and mail =
packages (with no restrictions).  All are welcome, including trail =
animals (dogs, goats, horses, llamas).  There is no charge for any =
service to PCT hikers. We're 9/10ths mile off trail -- easy walk and =
friendly rides abound.  Our numbers are:  661.268.1235 (home/business) =
661.810.5777 (Donna's mobile) 661.810.5778 (Jeff's mobile).

Sadly, there is no longer a Post Office or grocery store in Agua Dulce =
as per prior guide books.  We have a corner liquor store that has a few =
items (like the all-important ice cream or beer).  We do, however, have =
a Pizza joint, Mexican food, and continental cuisine restaurants all =
right in town, right on the trail.  We make up for the current lack of =
real resupply sources in our little town by providing transportation to =
grocery shopping, resupply and gear stores, medical needs, etc. in =
neighboring cities.

Additional support for hikers in this section can be found at North Fork =
Ranger Station, manned by volunteer host Todd, with his cool dog, =
Dakota.  The station number is 661.269.1870.  25 miles past Agua Dulce =
in Green Valley where the PCT intersects San Francisquito Rd are Hosts =
Joe & Terry Anderson, 661.270.0155.  Beyond them is the Three Points =
Roadhouse in Pine Canyon http://se1.com/fm/3points/  (someplace you'll =
want on your list).  Jack Fair is no longer living at Hwy 138, but a =
recent report indicates that the gate to his house is open and the water =
taps are working. =20
